Deputy Recognizes Roadside Cardiac Emergency
New Castle, DE
Brian lost consciousness while driving when his heart went into 
a lethal rhythm. A passing deputy recognized the emergency and 
began CPR until responders from New Castle County Paramedics 
arrived and continued resuscitation efforts. Brian survived and has 
since reunited with those who helped save his life.
Golf Course Collapse Sparks 
Lifesaving Response

Anthony collapsed on a golf course 
when his heart suddenly stopped. His 
friend, a former firefighter, immediately 
began CPR while paramedics 
responded and transported him to 
HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. 
After treatment for cardiogenic shock 
and a blocked coronary artery, Anthony 
recovered and now advocates for CPR 
training.
From Home Crisis to Recovery
Pomona, CA
Christian suffered cardiac arrest at home while sleeping. His wife 
called 911 while their daughter began CPR. After resuscitation 
in the field, he was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital 
Medical Center for specialized cardiac care and later received an 
implantable defibrillator.

for the holidays with his family. His 
wife called 911 while their son returned 
home and performed CPR until 
responders from Fairfax County Fire 
and Rescue arrived. After defibrillation 
and hospital care, Ray recovered and 
was discharged neurologically intact 
days later.

Emergency Services were on the 
way. After a prolonged resuscitation 
effort, circulation was restored 
and Cindy was transported to the 
hospital. She has since made a full 
neurological recovery and now 
shares her story to encourage 
others to learn CPR.

Steve collapsed at home shortly after 
returning from dinner with his wife. 
She quickly called 911 and began CPR 
before responders transported him 
to CentraCare Heart & Vascular 
Center for advanced cardiac care. After 
multiple procedures and intensive care, 
Steve survived and now considers every 
day a gift.
