The report follows a flow diagram format, categorizing arrests by sustained ROSC in the field, initial rhythm, and patient outcome. It also allows for filtering of patients on whether they were transported by EMS or transferred from another acute care facility. Figure 21 presents the National CARES Hospital Survival Report for 2025. Among all patients transported to a hospital, the survival to admission rate was 44.8% and the survival to discharge rate was 18.6%. Survival to hospital discharge was substantially higher among those who achieved sustained ROSC in the field (36.9%) compared to those who did not (6.3%). Furthermore, patients transferred from another facility exhibited a higher survival rate (49.6%) compared to those transported directly by EMS (16.8%).
