Legacy CARES form
The updated CARES form is organized into 
collapsible sections (Parts A–E) with improved 
question flow to support a more intuitive 
workflow. Real-time validation messages 
appear in a persistent panel on the right side 
of the screen, allowing users to quickly identify 
and navigate to issues by clicking directly 
on them. Validations are clearly categorized 
by severity using color coding (Fatal, Error, 
Warning, Resolved). Additionally, agencies 
can customize the form by selecting which 
supplemental elements are displayed, instead 
of them automatically being included on the 
form.
